Before Snowy & Hope Supply Co. was ever an idea, there was Hope.
Hope came first
Hope became the first little angel in my family in the summer of 2017. My neighbour had kittens, and I went over thinking I would simply choose one to bring home.
But Hope was different. While the other kittens were around people, she was the one hiding away, frightened and unsure. When I approached her, something changed — she came to me. That was the moment I knew she was mine.
The beginning wasn’t easy. Hope was incredibly shy and spent a lot of time hiding. Trust came slowly. But little by little, we became friends. Before long she was sleeping on my bed, curled up by my feet, beside my head, or stretched across my legs as if she had always belonged there.
Then came Snowy
By the summer of 2019, I wanted Hope to have a companion, so we adopted Snowy.
When we picked Snowy up, she was a tiny completely white kitten. From the start, she brought a different energy into the home — playful, curious and very affectionate.
Snowy has always been a little more obvious about showing her love. She likes to be wherever I am: on my lap, around my neck, beside me, or climbing onto me when I’m trying to sleep. If there is a comfortable place somewhere on me, Snowy will probably find it.
Two completely different personalities
Hope and Snowy are very different, but together they are perfect.
They are playful, cheeky and very good at making sure affection is shared fairly. At bedtime, one will usually settle on my left and the other on my right, waiting for a few minutes of spoiling and tummy rubs before everyone goes to sleep.
Mornings are even funnier. They normally wake up before I do. First comes the meowing. If I don’t react quickly enough, they move to their backup plan: chasing each other around the room and making as much noise as possible until I finally wake up.
One day I’m going to capture that morning routine properly because it is genuinely hilarious.
Why the brand carries their names
Snowy & Hope Supply Co. is named after them because they are not just pets in the house. They are family, companions and a huge part of everyday life.
They are also the reason behind the kind of products we want this store to offer: things that make pets more comfortable, make everyday routines easier, add a little fun, and help people enjoy more of those small moments that become the memories you keep.
This isn’t a faceless pet shop with two names added to a logo. Snowy and Hope are the real heart behind it.

I still have photos and videos from when they were tiny, including Snowy as a little white kitten and Hope from her younger days. I’ll be sharing more of those moments soon, along with the funny, affectionate and occasionally chaotic life they still create every day.
